BIOS is not a chatbot. It is a fleet of AI agents with explicit tool access to the systems a human operator would otherwise touch by hand. The customer-facing surface is a single conversation; what happens behind it is structured: tool calls, guardrails, audit logs, and outcome metrics.
The name reflects the role: like the BIOS of a computer, it is the always-on layer between the operator's intent and the systems that execute it. It boots the business each morning, handles the routine work through the day, and escalates to humans when policy says it should.
How Nordix uses it
BIOS is the engine inside every Nordix Systems deployment. It ships with pre-built workflows for restaurants, retail, hospitality, and services, and is configured per tenant — not custom-built per customer. Median time from contract to first live workflow is 11 days.
Operators interact with BIOS in two ways: customers (and staff) chat with it on WhatsApp or call it on voice; managers configure it and review its actions through the Nordix admin console. Every action BIOS takes is logged, reversible where possible, and constrained by policies the operator sets.
