Nordix Booking: the reservation system the AI workforce reads from

Nordix Booking handles reservations across restaurants, hotels, salons, and clinics. One calendar feeds Nordix BIOS so every chat answer is accurate.

What Nordix Booking actually does

Nordix Booking is the single calendar for any operator who takes reservations: a restaurant, a hotel, a salon, or a professional service firm. It handles direct bookings through the website widget, WhatsApp bookings answered by BIOS, channel-manager bookings from OTAs, and walk-ins recorded at the counter. One availability pool, one source of truth.

The hard part of bookings is not creating them. It is keeping them. Booking handles confirmations, reminders, cancellations, waitlists, deposits, and no-show recovery. BIOS executes the conversations; Booking holds the state. The two are inseparable in production.

What Booking handles end-to-end

  • Availability across resources: tables, rooms, treatment chairs, consultants, equipment
  • Channel sync with the major OTAs and channel managers for hospitality
  • Website widget that drops onto any page with a clean accessible flow
  • Two-way calendar sync with Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, and iCloud for service firms
  • Deposit collection through card-on-file or pay-now flows
  • Waitlist with auto-offer when a slot frees up
  • Group bookings, recurring sessions, and class passes
  • Tax and compliance settings per country and per venue

How Booking and BIOS work together

A guest sends a WhatsApp message at 23:14 asking "do you have a table for four at 20:00 on Saturday?". BIOS reads Booking availability in under a second, replies with options, takes the answer, collects the card-on-file deposit if the policy requires one, and confirms the table. The whole exchange takes 90 seconds and the host wakes up to a clean floor plan.

When the guest cancels at 18:00 on the day, BIOS offers the slot to the waitlist immediately. By the time the cancellation lands, the replacement is often already confirmed. This is why operators on the Nordix stack report no-show losses dropping by 60 to 75 percent within a quarter.

We had three booking systems and a channel manager. Now we have Nordix Booking. The bigger surprise is what BIOS does with it. Guests get answered in 20 seconds at 1 AM. Our direct booking share went from 31 percent to 47 percent in six months.

How Booking connects to POS and Loyalty

Every booking is tied to a Loyalty record when the guest is identifiable. Every charge that flows from the booking, whether a deposit, a room rate, a treatment fee, or an add-on, is posted through POS with full audit. The three modules share one customer history, one product catalogue, and one tax engine. BIOS sits on top and turns the whole thing into a conversation.

Frequently asked questions

  • Which verticals does Nordix Booking serve?

Restaurants, hotels, short-stay rentals, salons, spas, gyms, yoga studios, clinics, dental practices, consulting agencies, and any appointment-based business. The configuration adapts to the resource type, whether that is tables, rooms, chairs, consultants, or class slots. Mixed-use venues, such as a hotel restaurant with a public booking flow, run on one tenant.

  • Which booking channels and OTAs does Nordix Booking integrate with?

For hospitality, Nordix Booking integrates with the major OTAs and channel managers used in our regions. For service businesses, it syncs two-way with Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, and iCloud. For restaurants, integration with the leading reservation marketplaces is supported. New channels are added on a per-tenant basis. Bring a channel and we will tell you the current state.

  • How does Nordix Booking handle no-shows?

Booking captures a card-on-file or a non-refundable deposit at the operator's discretion. BIOS sends confirmation messages at 48 hours, 24 hours, and 3 hours before the slot. Waitlist auto-offer kicks in the moment a cancellation lands. Pilot operators report no-show rates dropping from 12 to 18 percent down to under 5 percent within 90 days.

  • Can Nordix Booking collect deposits and pay-now reservations?

Yes. Card-on-file and pay-now flows are standard. Deposit policy is configurable per resource type, per time slot, or per customer segment. Refund rules follow the operator's cancellation policy automatically. Card processing runs through the same processor used by Nordix POS, so reconciliation is unified.

  • Does Nordix Booking handle group bookings and recurring sessions?

Yes. Group bookings, event blocks, recurring appointments, and class passes are first-class objects. BIOS handles the group communication thread, sends rooming lists or class rosters to organisers, and tracks attendance. Recurring sessions can be paused, transferred, or shared between family members where the operator allows it.

  • Can I use Nordix Booking without Nordix BIOS?

Yes. Booking is a full reservation system on its own, with a website widget, channel sync, and a clean admin interface. Most operators add BIOS within a few months because the WhatsApp volume becomes the bottleneck. The handover is one-click and BIOS uses the same Booking data from the moment it activates.
